穆阳镇位于福建省宁德市福安市西部，是当地重要的集镇[1]。镇名的来历与宋代的缪姓聚居有关，后改用音近的“穆”字[2]。1980年9月由穆阳人民公社改设为镇[2]，此后陆续获得全国重点镇、全国特色小镇和福建省历史文化名镇等称号[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
穆阳一带在宋代以缪姓居民为主。因“缪”与“穆”读音相同，又借“睦”的和睦之意，地名遂定为穆阳；百度百科则记载宋时写作“缪洋”，后因谐音改为今名[2][1]。
1928年设穆阳区，此后这里的行政归属数次变动：1938年归属第三区，1949年归属第四区；1950年从穆阳区分出溪潭区，1955年溪潭区又并回穆阳区[2]。1958年9月改设穆阳公社，溪潭人民公社同时分设[2]。1980年9月，穆阳人民公社改为穆阳镇，名称沿用至今[2]。
2014年7月，穆阳镇被列为「全国重点镇」[2]；2017年8月，被认定为「第二批全国特色小镇」[2][1]。2019年6月，福建省人民政府认定其为「第六批福建省历史文化名镇名村」[2]；2020年7月，穆阳镇获全国爱卫会命名，称号为「2017-2019周期国家卫生乡镇（县城）」[2]。2021年2月，穆阳镇入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单[2]。
地理环境[edit]
镇域位于福安市西部，三面环山，穆阳溪贯穿全境[1]。东西方向最长处约4千米，南北方向约4.77千米，总面积11.56平方千米[1][2]。穆阳溪经生态治理后水质保持在二类以上，镇内建有6个生态亲水公园[1]。
人口[edit]
据百度百科，镇域2018年户籍人口为15850人[1]。博雅地名网另载镇域约1.26万人，未注明统计年份[2]。
经济[edit]
镇内的特色农产品有水蜜桃、线面、葡萄和绿竹笋[1]。其中穆阳线面的生产历史有680年左右，全部手工制作，经过九道工序，并于2011年取得国家地理标志证明商标[2][3]。
名胜古迹[edit]
黄烽将军故居在苏堤村，建于清代，属近现代重要史迹及代表性建筑，为砖土木结构的合院式建筑[2]。狮岩隘口位于中兴街社区的昂头阁岭一带，建于明代，是穆阳旧城墙上仅存的一座城门，石构、券顶，南北向[2]。
