廉首村是赛岐镇下辖的行政村，村名取自同名的自然村。该自然村的名称则与建国初所属的廉田乡有关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初此地属赛岐第五区廉田乡；1956年并入溪柄区，次年复归赛岐区；1958年设廉首大队；1984年改称廉首村委会。[1]
