建国初此地属湾坞第十区大江乡；1956年改属甘棠第六区；1966年设赛岐公社江兜大队；1984年改设江兜村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
2021年11月，江兜村被认定为2021年宁德市「一村一品」专业村。[1]
文化[edit]
2020年12月，江兜村入选2020年福建省森林村庄名单。[1]
