社区名以阳头广场路为标志，寓意兴旺发达。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区经福安市人民政府批准于2005年5月设立；2009年2月正式以广兴社区居委会的名义挂牌，此后名称未改。[1]

辖区概况[edit]

社区面积约0.45平方千米，范围包括信元别墅区、金沙花园小区、南湖安置地小区，以及电机电器市场与电机电器商业步行街。社区总户数为1400多户，总人口为5000多人。[1]

2024年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
