锦阳社区是福安市城北街道下辖的社区，位于福安市区东北部，据博雅地名网称是城北街道的第二大社区。社区西与后垅社区东垅自然村接壤，北至六岔路山脉。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

名称取自原新阳居委会与锦鸡垄居委会各一字，二者整合后设立此社区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区地方旧属福安县后垅村管辖，1997年分出。2003年5月，原新阳居委会与锦鸡垄居委会整合，设立锦阳社区居委会。[1][2]

锦鸡垄居民点于1987年开发，洋边新阳路居民点于1992年开发。[2]

辖区概况[edit]

社区面积1.1平方公里，据博雅地名网所载有居民1318户、4752人（年份未载），辖4个自然村和18个居民小组。辖区内设有城北变电所，福安市公安看守所与拘留所也驻在此处。另有10多家民营企业，其中包括隆鑫电机厂和一条龙电机有限公司。[2]
