东风社区处在城南街道中部，东边以新华南路为界，西边连金山北路，北侧是中兴东路，南侧靠解放路。社区辖区占地约0.3平方千米。[1]

1990年，社区属东风街居委会；2003年7月，设立东风社区居委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东门刘氏祠堂位于东风社区三姓路，始建于明代弘治年间（1488年至1505年），年代记为清雍正年间（1723年至1735年），属古建筑。[1]
