石古兰村地处英山乡东端，南边与凤洋村相接，北边紧邻桦岭村，西边是田头洋村，隔山与城郊乡南岔村遥遥相对。该村距乡政府约8公里，距柘荣县城约28公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传村中山上有一块石头形似鼓，石下有一片树林，初称石鼓林；后因方言读音转变，改称石古兰。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子年平均降雨量约1300至1600毫米，主要物产有太子参、毛竹和茶叶。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

中当山自然村属老区基点村，柘鼎泰临时县委也曾设于此地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年，石鼓兰一带曾设苏维埃政府。1965年撤区并社后，这里属英山公社，政府网站称当时为石鼓岚大队。1984年大队撤销，改设村民委员会。[1][3]

2022年10月，石古兰村被福建省农业农村厅确认为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
