地名由来[edit]
因岭边生有桦树而得名。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子海拔与柘荣城关相近，溪流环绕，水域较多，是淡水养殖的天然场所。[1]
经济[edit]
村内发展池塘与水库养殖、稻田养鱼和溪河放流增殖等养殖方式，养殖品种逐年增加。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1934年，桦岭一带有过苏维埃政府。1980年置桦岭大队，1984年大队撤销，改为村民委员会。[1]
村内的大山下自然村是老区基点村。[1]
