熊状村位于英山乡东侧，与官安村、桦岭村相邻，距柘荣城关约15公里。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传很久以前，这里藏过两头熊，后来熊遭人毒杀，地名便由「熊藏」而来；「藏」「状」读音相近，写起来改作「熊状」。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子海拔略低于柘荣城关，雨量充沛，气候温和。村口有国家保护植物红豆杉，村周围多竹林。[2]
经济[edit]
经济作物包括太子参、毛竹、白术、花生等。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1934年，熊状村有过苏维埃政府。1954年组成熊状乡，归第三区；1958年改设熊状大队；1984年大队撤销，改为村民委员会。[1]
1999年底，熊状自然村发生火灾，原有房屋基本烧毁，此后房屋重建为砖石结构。村内的上东坪、下东坪是老区基点村。[1][2]
