王社村位于英山乡西北部，地处福建与浙江两省交界处，与浙江省泰顺县隔河相望，是乡内较偏远的山村之一。[1]
地名由来[edit]
相传这里原是金姓人家迁居之地，后有一名草寇王某在此被杀，村名由此而来。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村内雨量充沛，年降雨量在1600至2000毫米之间，气候温和。[2]
经济[edit]
村民收入主要来自劳务输出和太子参种植。村内建有王社一级、二级两座水电站。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1965年这里设了王社大队；1984年大队撤销，改为王社村村民委员会。[1]
2021年11月，王社村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱卫办授予；2022年10月，又经福建省农业农村厅认定，列为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇。[1]
