英山村位于英山乡北部，东接田头洋村，西邻岗后坪村，北靠官安村，南连何家山村。村庄系乡内的地质灾害隐患点。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名原来取自村子的地形：村南住着姓英的人家，村北住着姓窦的人家，中间隔着一条坑，故称英窦坑。后为书写方便，改称英山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1934年村内设有英山村苏维埃政府。1958年这里改为英山大队，1984年大队撤销，代之以英山村村民委员会。[1]

2017年8月，英山村列入福建省第二批省级传统村落名录；2021年12月，被评为宁德市乡村文化振兴示范村；2024年1月，被命名为2023年福建省卫生村。[1]

经济[edit]

村民收入主要来自粮食、太子参、茶叶、家兔养殖和劳务输出。[2]
