楮坪乡是福建省宁德市柘荣县的乡，位于县境西部，被当地称为县的“西大门”。[1] 乡境东与城郊乡、东源乡接壤，西邻福安市上白石镇，南与富溪镇、黄柏乡相接，北与英山乡毗连。东南一侧地势较高，西北一侧较低，山岭切割明显，104国道横亘境内。[1][3] 2014年被命名为国家级生态乡镇，森林覆盖率达76%以上，太子参和茶叶是主要产业。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清光绪以前，此地归霞浦县灵霍乡的柘洋上里辖制；宣统年间改属柘洋上西区。地名一说源于此地多楮树，楮木成林，后音转为“楮坪”。[2]
闽东苏区时期的1934年，乡境内设过一个苏维埃政府，沿用楮坪之名。[2] 1935年起，此地又是柘洋特种区的联保机构所在。之后数年乡名先后改为三坪、英坪，1944年定名康平。[2]
1950年重设楮坪乡，隶属第三区。1958年组成楮坪公社，三年后政社分开，恢复楮坪区名；1965年撤区并社，改称楮坪人民公社。1984年公社撤销，恢复乡镇体制，改名楮坪乡。[2][3]
地理环境[edit]
全乡区域面积50.35平方千米，[1] 属亚热带山地季风气候，[3] 林地面积约5.3万亩，森林覆盖率达76%以上。[1] 乡境西与福安市上白石镇为邻，北与英山乡毗连。[1]
人口民族[edit]
柘荣县人民政府网站载全乡3541户11400人，另设畲族建制村2个，人数1200多人。[1] 全乡共有建制村15个，其中部分村庄为畲族聚居。[1][2]
经济[edit]
乡政府以药、茶两大产业为主导，持续壮大太子参种植与茶叶加工。[1] 太子参和茶叶是村民的主要收入来源，柘荣高山白茶为当地的茶叶品牌。[1] 全乡有国家省市生态村11个。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，楮坪乡被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
西竹岔战斗遗址位于社坪村、洪坑村、苏家洋村周边相连的山头。[2] 1935年1月，闽东独立师在西竹岔一带与国民党新十师交战，红军借地形设伏，国民党军突围后红军主动撤出战场。[4] 2018年9月，福建省人民政府将其列为第九批省级文物保护单位，遗址现存红军战壕、阵亡将士埋葬坑等遗迹。[4]
著名人物[edit]
明代仙岭村（今属楮坪乡）人郑宗远，字思明，号乔岳，生于1471年，卒于1559年。[5][6] 他出资修筑由仙岭经榴坪至福安沙坑的石路，并设渡船免费渡人，朝廷因此赐以冠带荣身。[6]
