地名[edit]
村民居住之地原为蔡家的山地，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年8月，此地归菖西乡管辖；1965年2月起划归宅中公社，此后随公社改称宅中乡。[3]
1965年设立蔡山大队，1984年大队撤销，改设蔡山村村民委员会。[1]
