蒲头村位于黄柏乡西南部，离乡所在地12.8公里，辖1个自然村。[1]
村名几经更替：迁来之初，附近湖中长有菖蒲，名为菖蒲洋；湖边的岗地称菖蒲岗，人口渐多后建成村落，先称蒲洋头，后因口语顺畅改称蒲头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
蒲头大队始设于1965年，1984年随即撤销，村民委员会随之成立。[1]
人口民族[edit]
全村134户、479人，常住246人，流动213人，分为7个村民小组。群众主要姓氏为陈、魏、林，农民主要收入来自茶叶和太子参。[1]
文化[edit]
蒲头村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办命名，称号为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
