历史沿革[edit]
1934年，此村设苏维埃政府。1935年改设游家边保，属菖蒲洋联保，1940年改属菖宅乡。[1]
1965年改为游家边大队；1984年撤销大队，设立村民委员会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
全村145户、604人，其中女性249人。群众主要姓氏为游姓，收入主要靠太子参与茶叶。[1]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，此村被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定其为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1][2]
