龟洋村在东源乡东南部，离县城22公里，与福鼎市潘溪乡的后坪村为邻，全村为一个自然村，现有47户193人。[1]

地理环境[edit]

耕地279亩（水田248亩，农地31亩），林地2035亩，毛竹72亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：村中有九个小山头突出于田洋之间，形似龟，故名。[2]

1935年成立龟洋保，归东桃乡联保，1944年撤保；1965年设龟洋大队，1984年改为龟洋村委会。[3]

经济[edit]

村民收入的主要来源是粮食、畜牧、太子参、野生白叶、林业和竹制品加工。农闲时，家家户户利用毛竹加工竹制品。[1]
