仙后村在东狮山背面、省级风景名胜区的范围之内，与乍洋乡相邻，村址海拔约860米，只有一个自然村。村内人口外迁较多，如今常住者寥寥。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

全村耕地204亩，林地8531亩，毛竹298亩，森林覆盖率在八成以上。[2]

人口民族[edit]

村内在册住户33户。1980年的一场火灾烧毁了十多栋房屋，大部分村民此后到县城一带谋生，目前常住本村的只有5户6人。[2]

经济[edit]

村民收入的主要来源是林业与外出劳务，另有毛竹、白叶、太子参、丹皮和白术等。近年来，村民在城关经营小生意、跑运输或打零工，农忙时回村复垦毛竹、种植太子参。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：房屋建在东山仙洞胜境的山后，原名山后；因与他村重名，1981年改名仙后。[3]

1965年设山后村大队；1980年再设山后大队；1984年撤销大队，设立仙后村村民委员会。[4]
