地理环境[edit]
山地12000亩，其中林地8700亩，荒草地3000亩；另有茶园210亩，水田470亩。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有红军洞纪念地。东狮山风景区一带与燕窝岩、觉性寺、溪门里等景点相连；溪门里的水源经上下两坝引入山岭与东源两村的水田，灌溉面积350亩。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来：原先山后、岭头两村共组一个大队，各取一字定名山岭。[3]
1965年设山岭大队，1984年撤销大队，改设山岭村民委员会。[4]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月授予山岭村「2022年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
