西宅村位于东源乡东源洋西侧，濒临龙溪，距柘荣城关约1.5公里。全村辖西宅、新村、甲溪三个自然村，共181户617人，原住民以林氏为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的由来：村址位于龙溪中游西侧，故称西宅。[3]

1965年设西宅大队，1984年撤销大队，改设西宅村村民委员会。[4]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予西宅村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
