东源乡是福建省宁德市柘荣县下辖的乡，位于县境东南部，距县城约3公里，与福鼎、霞浦两地交界。据乡政府网页，户籍人口9411人，常住人口接近1.2万，辖一个社区和18个行政村。境内的东源桥为全国重点文物保护单位，东源古建筑群为福建省级文物保护单位。^[1]^[2]^[4]^[5]

沈海高速复线在乡境设有柘荣互通口，旧时温福古道也穿乡而过。^[1]

乡域面积，乡政府网页记为120.5平方千米，博雅地名网则作约120.3平方千米。乡境以山地为主，平均海拔约600米，森林覆盖率在七成以上，年均气温约16℃，每年降水1600至2200毫米。^[1]^[2]

乡内有七座水库，青岚、竹家楼、溪门里等在列，库容合计1833万立方米，城区约七成的用水靠它们供给。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

乡名的来历：元朝初年，张姓人家迁来此地，起初称作“张源”。因村内水碓溪发源于东山，遂改称“东源”，并以乡政府所在的村命名。^[2]

民国时期，境内于1934年设立东源、太洋两个乡苏维埃政府，另有十个村也设立了苏维埃政府。1935年，国民政府在境内设东源、桃坑、太洋三乡，此后经过数次合并、降格与改设。^[3]

1950年6月，境内改设为第一区的东源、青岭、西源三个乡。1958年10月实行公社化，原乡改设大队，归柘荣公社管辖；1965年撤区并社，设东源公社；1984年改为东源乡。^[3]

乡境内有生物医药循环经济产业园，另有富源产业园；进驻的企业涵盖生物医药、轻工机械、商贸物流等行业。特色农产品以辣椒、食用菌、西葫芦、杨梅等为主，乡政府网页称这些产品已逐步形成品牌。^[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

东源桥又名水浒桥，位于东源村，为单孔木梁桥。据百度百科，该桥始建于元至元元年（1335年），明嘉靖十三年（1534年）与清乾隆十六年（1751年）两次重修，现存桥体为清同治九年（1870年）所建。2006年被国务院列入全国重点文物保护单位（第六批）。^[1]^[4]

东源古建筑群也在东源村，建筑年代跨越清至民国。核心是吴氏宗祠戏楼，1784年（清乾隆四十九年）落成；群内还有古书堂、培凤亭和吴成故居等建筑。2018年9月，该群定为福建省第九批省级文物保护单位。^[5]

柘荣鸳鸯草场位于鸳鸯头村，据百度百科，占地约11267亩，海拔在980至1110米之间，2022年12月获批「国家4A级旅游景区」，该条目称其为福建省最大的天然高山草场。^[6]

乡政府网页还列出被命名为「国家级水利风景区」的青岚湖，以及水泊岩次生阔叶林、目海尖等自然景观。乡境内另有宋代的碗池湖窑址。^[1]

2014年9月，环境保护部授予东源乡「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。^[2]

2022年12月，东源乡被命名为「2022年福建省森林城镇」；2024年1月，又被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。^[2]

乡政府网页还列有「中国老年宜居名镇」（全省首批）、省级森林乡镇、省级林下经济示范乡镇和省级无邪教示范乡等称号。^[1]
