前山村是福建省宁德市柘荣县城郊乡下辖的行政村，位于县城西南部，与县城毗邻，县政府网站称其处在城区规划建设范围之内。[1][4] 村名取自县城南部偏西处的一座小山，村址在山前。[1]

村庄土地面积1239亩，其中耕地560亩（水田530亩，旱地30亩），林地677亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村中至今保留多处青铜器时代的古遗址，柘荣境内发现的第一件古代文化遗物「石箭头」即发现于本村。[2]

前山曾是福温古道的必经之路。据博雅地名网，该道路形成于隋唐时期，至宋元时期初具规模，是闽浙陆路交通要道之一。[2]

1934年，此地已有苏维埃政府；1935年起称前山保，1944年并入溪坪保。1965年起设前山大队，1984年以后改称村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

前山大外厝是清代建筑，始建于乾隆年间，由左、中、右三路厝屋组成，占地4290平方米，为省级文物保护单位。[3]
