历史沿革[edit]
1934年，此地设有前宅村苏维埃政府；次年组成前宅保。1950年设前宅乡；1958年这一建制改称前宅大队；1984年大队撤销，改设前宅村村民委员会。[1]
2021年11月，前宅村由福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2022年10月，经福建省农业农村厅认定，前宅村列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2023年10月，村子被确定为「2023年度宁德市一村一品专业村」；同年12月，又获认定为「2023年度福建省一村一品专业村」（糯米薯）。[1]
经济[edit]
村中作物以太子参、茶叶、油茶为主，兼种白玉豆、生姜、辣椒和玉米，近年又引进槟榔芋与莴苣并推广种植。[1]
