玛坑乡是周宁县东南部的一个乡，下辖15个行政村。境内以低山丘陵为主，最高峰黄仙峰海拔1191.7米，茶叶种植与加工是乡里的主导产业。[1][4][5]

此地原为马氏开基之地，称马溪；马氏迁走后汤氏迁入，遂改称玛坑。[3][4]

乡内杉洋村的林公忠平王祖殿是第七批全国重点文物保护单位。[6][7]

历史沿革[edit]

明代此地属宁德县的十四都，民国时称咸杉乡。[4]

1948年9月，宁德县划出咸杉乡一带（今咸村、玛坑的部分行政村），共127.7平方千米，归周宁县辖。[2]

1950年4月起属咸村区。1958年分设玛坑、沈洋两乡，同年9月改称人民公社，次年并入咸村公社。1961年8月自咸村公社分出另设公社，两年后的1963年3月回归咸村区，1966年重新设立玛坑公社，1984年撤社改乡，沿用至今。[3][4]

2014年9月，环境保护部把「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号授予玛坑乡；2024年1月，玛坑乡获评「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[3]

地理环境[edit]

全乡属低山丘陵地貌，海拔多在100米至800米之间，境内最高峰黄仙峰海拔1191.7米。[4][5]

气候为亚热带季风型，全年日照约1600小时，年均气温16.5℃，每年降水量约1920毫米。[5]

人口民族[edit]

2018年末，全乡户籍人口为13086人。[4]

第七次全国人口普查登记的2020年11月1日零时常住人口为6926人。[5]

经济[edit]

茶叶是全乡的主导产业，各村多有茶园。工业方面，紫竹村下后地一带有玛坑工业园，产业方向定为锂电池与汽车配件。[5]

名胜古迹[edit]

林公忠平王祖殿位于杉洋村，始建于明正德八年（1513年），2013年3月列入第七批全国重点文物保护单位名录。[6][7]

殿宇多属明代建筑，太子亭为清代增建。殿内正殿有壁画，保存有清同治十二年（1873年）的铁鼎。[6]
