村子古名厚隆、鹗荐，俗名下荐，后改为今名。[1]
红色遗址[edit]
礼门乡政府工作报告列出后垅红色革命遗址，提出要对其进行新一轮的开发建设，并把它纳入讲述礼门故事的内容。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2025年5月，后垅村被确认为2024年度宁德市「一村一品」专业村，主导产业为毛竹。[1]
