先人在此地开基时发现一块石碑，村名因此而来。[1]
自然环境[edit]
村庄海拔900多米，年平均气温约15℃，群山环绕。村里有耕地约840亩；林地面积6800多亩，生态公益林占其中800多亩。[2]
古树[edit]
村中有古树名木红豆杉5株，每株直径都在1.2米以上，最老的一株树龄已超过1200年。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，大碑村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。2026年1月，村里被确定为「2026年度福建省乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
