礼门乡在周宁县的西南角，东南面与咸村镇相连，南面和蕉城区为邻，西边与政和、屏南两县交界，北边靠着李墩镇。全乡辖区面积134平方千米，下辖17个行政村。[1][3][6]
乡境以山地为主，最高点为天坪山主峰，海拔1403米。境内最大的河流后垄溪属霍童溪流域，另有洋头溪等溪流。明矾、石泡流纹岩、珍珠岩、铁矿等矿产见于境内。[1][4]
历史沿革[edit]
宋至明初，此地属宁德县青田乡东洋里十八都的一部分。民国二十九年（1940年）设乡。[2]
此后的建制几经分合：1959年初并入李墩公社，1961年8月重新独立为礼门公社，1963年3月又归李墩区管辖，1966年8月复为礼门公社，直到1984年4月才撤社设乡。[1]
经济[edit]
2021年底的乡政府工作报告，把扶持茶叶、红心猕猴桃、马铃薯、翠冠梨等作物的种植，以及毛竹、大山羊等传统种养业，列为农业发展的重点，并提出围绕各村培育“一村一品”特色产业链。[5]
报告还提到，礼门至陈峭的旅游公路已建成12.3公里，乡里正在打造“深山云舍”等20多家民宿，并以陈峭、常源等村为重点推进旅游集散中心建设。[5]
文化[edit]
唐宫走礼、稻草龙、棕衣制作等项目入选周宁县的市级非物质文化遗产，乡政府工作报告另列出廊桥技艺和虎桩拳等民俗文化。[5]
名胜古迹[edit]
滴水岩在礼门村西南，洞内建有明代的佛殿，1983年被列为县级文物保护单位。[7][8]
乡政府工作报告希望借后垅的红色革命遗址和秋楼的旧明矾厂区，讲好礼门的故事。[5]
