杨厝边村位于福建省宁德市周宁县泗桥乡东北部约14公里处，在芹峰山麓，村庄依山而建，是村委会驻地。村名来自清代嘉庆年间最早在此居住的杨氏家族。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原归寿宁县，1955年9月改隶周宁县硋窑乡；1958年划入坂坑乡；1961年设红星大队，1984年为杨厝边村委会。辖有四个自然村，依次为杨厝边、横山、曲尺坑与芹山。[1]

村名的由来是：清代嘉庆年间（1796—1820年）杨氏始居此地，杨氏迁出后，刘氏由芹山村迁入，在杨家旧屋旁居住，故名杨厝边。[1]

芹山自然村内有芹山电站形成的人工湖。[2]

人口民族[edit]

居民以刘姓为主。村中流传着民间手工草席编织技艺。[1]

著名人物[edit]

芹山村的刘高玱，号称「恩进士」；清代贡生刘建莅也是村中的人物。[2]

村域内有柳杉、白柯、红柯、马尾松等古树。[2]
