祖龙村位于纯池镇东北部，是老区的行政村，村委会设在祖龙自然村，2019年列入「第五批中国传统村落」。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村名由来有三说：村附近有前山村，本村背靠大山，故又称后山；所在地地势陡峭，又称粗垅；村中有一口龙井，遂改称祖龙。[1]

明末，周氏先祖自寿宁平溪迁入建村。新中国成立前此地归寿宁县，之后并入周宁县。1958年之前，本村曾称祖垅大队。[1][3]

地理与人口[edit]

村域面积为38539.7亩，耕地2300多亩，林地4400亩，其中包括省级生态林482亩。[3]

村情简介称，全村331户、1750人，设9个村民小组，常住约110人。村内人口以周姓为主，周姓约占七成，黄姓也是主要姓氏之一。[3]

矿产方面，村域内蕴藏叶蜡石、灰绿岩与硫磺矿，叶蜡石的预计储量在两千万吨以上。[3]

产业[edit]

村民从事农业以茶叶、水稻、马铃薯、黄豆为主，大部分人外出经商务工，其中从事皮具等手工业的人较多，相关企业近百家。[3]

古迹与荣誉[edit]

村中有清代的周氏宗祠一座，另有圣母娘宫一座。村内一株800多年的桂花树被称为「桂花王」，另有一株100多年的古茶树。[1]

2019年6月，祖龙村列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录。[2]
