半岭村处于浦源镇西部，县城在其约9公里外。村子东面是进登村，南面是萌源村，西面是龙亭村，北面隔着江源村。村子坐落在高山地带，全村有5个自然村，主村为水竹垄。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年，半岭分出设大队；1963年3月，又并入进登大队；1966年8月，再次从进登分出，恢复半岭大队。1984年8月起改为村民委员会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

主村水竹垄位置最高，海拔870米，全村平均海拔约600米。[1]

人口民族[edit]

全村共692人，人口较多的姓氏是萧姓。常住人口约70人，占10%；外出流动人口约400人，接近六成，多去上海、江苏、广东，经营钢材等建材或房地产开发，也有打工者。[1]
