东升村在双笔锋脚下，地处东洋溪的源头，离县城9公里，离浦源镇5公里。全村3个村民小组，共196户845人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作源头村。明成化二年（1466年），周贵四自西坑村迁来定居。[3][4]

1979年，官司分出另设大队；1984年8月起，东升改为村民委员会，归浦源乡管辖。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村子北面依靠大麻岭山脉，东边与溪坪村相接，南边连着吴山底，西边是官司村。全村土地总面积8329亩，其中林地7200亩。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村中常住人口约260人。外出者585人，约占全村七成，多去广东、云南，从事建材、卫浴等经营或打工。[1]

文化[edit]

2018年，村获「宁德市第十三届（2015—2017）年度市级文明村」称号；2020年，获评「周宁县第四轮首批平安村」。[1]
