萌源村属浦源镇，位于镇区东部。它距县城4公里，离镇政府3公里。村中共有17个村民小组，主要姓氏是肖姓。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地属宁德县青田乡东洋里的十六都，民国时期归周墩特种区管辖。1945年8月周宁县设立后，设萌源保。[2]

1958年并入端源公社，设萌源大队；公社迁往浦源后，仍称萌源大队。1984年起改为村民委员会。过去辖萌源、陈岔、坝下三个自然村，后两处已无人居住，如今只剩萌源一村。[2]

人口民族[edit]

村中常住人口约1500人，外出流动人口约2800人，占全村人口65%。外出者多去上海、江苏、陕西，经营钢材、塑胶管等买卖，或是打工。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年，村被评为「国家森林乡村」；2020年，列入「福建省传统村落」。[1]
