历史沿革[edit]
1962年设大队，1984年改为村委会。[1]
村名旧称「里表」。后因村边有七斗坡、大溪、洪洋坑三条小溪纵贯，形似「川」字，改称川中。[1]
文化[edit]
村辖区发现三处商周时期古闽越人生产生活的聚落遗迹，距今3000多年。[1]
村中仍在使用的古大厝中，至今可见明清风格的字匾、雕刻、版画与雕塑。[1]
