前坪村是福建省宁德市周宁县狮城镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区东北约5千米。博雅地名网称它是狮城镇面积最大、自然村最多的行政村，龙亭溪从境内东部穿过。[1][2]

村委会原驻挪坑，1994年迁驻公家洋。[2]

革命旧址[edit]

前坪行政村是闽东革命老根据地，苎园坪是其中的主要基点村。1933年3月，福安县委书记詹如柏在苎园坪建立贫农团、妇女会等组织。1934年，此地为宁德、寿宁两县苏维埃政府驻地。[2]

1935年，此地为周墩东北区委驻地，附近的暗垄洞、清水壑分别建有红军修械厂和后方医院。1936至1937年，村庄遭三次围剿，全村16座房屋被烧毁。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1935年隶属周墩特种区周墩联保处，1940年隶周墩镇陈凤保，1945年8月隶狮城镇。1980年9月改隶城郊公社。此后，1984年6月大队撤销，改设村委会，辖12个自然村。[2][3]

搬迁与交通[edit]

上世纪九十年代起，村里推行搬迁造福工程。1994至2000年间，挪坑、前坪、横林三个自然村因地质灾害陆续搬到城关。1996年，陈家山、苎园坪、大漈坪三处因民族搬迁工程迁出，王居林、延抬则因老区基点村搬迁迁入城关。[2]

1987年，政府拨款建成单孔净跨46米的石拱桥，结束了依靠撑筏过渡的历史。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

境内有官山风景区，以及红军修械厂、红军后方医院等革命纪念地。[2]
