历史沿革[edit]
1935年起归周墩特种区周墩联保处，1940年改由周墩镇虎坂保管辖，1945年8月隶狮城镇，随后，1950年4月划归坂头乡，1956年3月改隶龙安乡。[2]
1958年9月设坂头大队，归端源公社，1960年转县农场，1962年改属城关镇。1984年6月大队撤销，改为村委会，隶狮城镇。1998年，村里达到福建省“小康村”的要求。[2]
经济[edit]
传统工业是铸造铁锅，改革开放后，村中有人到全国各地办铸造厂。农业以水稻为主，曾有“狮城粮仓”之称。[2]
文化与古迹[edit]
村内石马桥为元代所建，博雅地名网称它是全县最早的石梁桥；清代所建的登贤桥，桥头立有三块石碑。[2]
革命旧址[edit]
坂头林（古坂林）位于村西，是中国工农红军闽东游击队第十一支队的建队纪念地。[2]
