历史沿革[edit]
明景泰六年（1455年）以前，村子属政和县。明嘉靖四年（1525年），杨姓由沙潭村迁入；清嘉庆年间，吴姓迁入。[1]
清雍正六年（1728年）属西南乡；民国时期属平溪乡；1950年属平溪区下党乡。1956年划归芹洋区。[1]
1958年9月设杨溪头生产大队，属芹洋区；1965年并入平溪公社。[1]
2019年6月，村子进入第五批中国传统村落的名单；2021年11月，被命名为2021年福建省卫生村；2022年12月，被确定为2022年度福建省「一村一品」专业村，产品为油茶。[1]
