历史沿革[edit]
此地过去称作党川，名字取自溪水流淌不息的样子。村子前方两侧各有一座小山，把聚落护在中间。[2]
1988年建乡之前，村中没有公路，也没有自来水和电灯照明。建乡之后，村里陆续完成了通水、通电等工作。[1][2][4]
下党村于2014年11月被收入第三批中国传统村落的名册。[2]
2016年5月，被福建省人民政府认定为第五批福建省历史文化名镇名村。[3]
2019年1月，入选第七批中国历史文化名村；同年7月，列入第一批全国乡村旅游重点村名单；同年12月，列入第二批国家森林乡村名单。[3]
2020年12月，被确定为第一批福建省高级版绿盈乡村，同年被评为中国美丽休闲乡村。2021年2月，列入「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。2022年10月，被认定为第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
全村土地约1.38万亩，其中耕地942亩，山林约1.14万亩。村落沿下党修竹溪依山而建，呈梯形分布。[3]
经济[edit]
村中收入以茶叶、油茶、食用菌和林下经济为主，茶叶以「下乡的味道」作为品牌。[1][3]
名胜古迹[edit]
村南的鸾峰桥是一座木拱廊桥，见乡条目。村中的文昌阁建于清道光年间，阁楼三层，八角形重檐攒尖顶，旧时村中子弟在此读书。[1]
鸾峰桥对面设有「难忘下党」主题展馆，占地约120平方米，内容按下党乡的情况、习近平同志数次到访的经过和脱贫攻坚的历程分版块陈列。[1]
