坪坑村在托溪乡东南部，海拔平均425米，土地面积约5.11平方千米，村中有4个自然村，坪坑为主村，另有地走岗、檀香岭、东山[1][2]。村名原作坪源，后因一条宽约7米的小溪穿村而过，水流平缓，改称坪坑[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，村属第四区托溪区的坪坑乡。1956年芹洋区设立后改归托溪乡；1958年设前进公社，驻地在坪坑。1960年改为托溪公社坪坑大队，1963年划入芹洋区，1965年撤区并社，仍归托溪公社，1984年撤社改乡，设坪坑村委会[1]。

文化[edit]

清代，村中曾考取贡生18人，村中传承耕读文化[2]。

名胜[edit]

村中的翠源溪、坪坑水库是主要的水域景观。檀香岭自然村内保存有千年古银杏树、古油杉树等古树[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村经省级爱卫部门评定，入选「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅的认定将村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2022年12月，省绿化委员会授予村庄「2022年福建省森林村庄」称号；2023年12月，村被认定为「2023年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（茶叶）[1][2]。
