历史沿革[edit]
南宋初年，杨六率先在此定居，被视为沙潭杨姓的始祖[1][2]。乾隆三年（1738年），吴经邦由江西丰城县简山村迁来，开启了沙潭吴姓的一脉[1][2]。
1950年村属第四区托溪区，1956年芹洋区设立后归托溪乡；1960年改为托溪公社沙潭大队，1963年曾划入芹洋区，1965年撤区并社，村继续由托溪公社管辖[1]。1984年托溪公社改乡，村改为托溪乡沙潭村委会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
吴氏宗祠建于清道光年间[2]。
灵树庵建在芹洋、托溪两乡交界处，占地约325平方米，1980年重建[2]。翁丈源自然村的马仙宫，在改革开放后重建[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，沙潭村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」[1]。
