阜莽村位于芹洋旗山背后，建村逾九百年，地势为群山所环，土地肥沃，以农业为传统产业。全村416户，1716人，下辖山面、花树底等自然村，设12个村民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村址初建时形状像燕巢，原称“燕山”。后因土壤肥沃、草木繁盛、地势雄壮、视野开阔，文人改成了现名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南宋隆兴年间（1163年至1164年），李义由福安石门的李家楼迁入，最初住在大坵头。1950年曾设阜莽乡；1984年9月撤社建乡，设芹洋乡阜莽村。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中有一棵千年古樟树，因年代久远，居民视之为神树。[4]
文化[edit]
2017年8月，阜莽村入选福建省第二批省级传统村落名录；2019年6月，村庄入选第五批中国传统村落名录。另有2026年1月确定的福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村称号，以及2024年1月公布的卫生村命名。[1][3]
