刘坪村是竹管垅乡的行政村，辖刘坪自然村与已废的白叶潭自然村，村中全为王姓。全村面积6739亩，海拔362米。[1][2][3]

村名原作罗盘，周围三面是山、一面临水，形状像罗盘，后改称刘坪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元代，王氏先祖从王呢山一带（今王土山，属南阳镇）迁到罗盘，是乡内最早迁来的居民之一。[1][2]

新中国成立前，村属南阳乡；1949年至1951年改属南阳官路乡，1952年至1958年归斜滩区坑芹乡；1958年起，村里划入竹管垅幸福人民公社，设立大队，此后归竹管垅乡；1984年拆社建乡，村委会名为刘坪村委会。[1][2]

1932年冬，村中建起红带队；1934年设苏维埃政府；1935年7月，设地下党支部。解放后，被追认为革命烈士的本村人有6名。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

刘坪桥头的金鸡山上耸立着金鸡岩，岩高二百多米，四周峭壁。1986年，岩顶建起大帝宫，游人可攀登观光。[2]

刘坪桥是木拱廊桥，博雅地名网称其建于清道光十九年，咸丰年间两次遭洪水冲毁，光绪时修复；村中另有寿兴亭、岭头亭两座凉亭。[1]

文化[edit]

村中的狮灯队属公狮舞，创建于清代，1975年在全县舞狮比赛中获第二名。竹质纸钱的手工作坊沿袭至今。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
