村子坐落在亭下溪边，村名由此而来，亦称亭下溪。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
叶氏于顺治十五年（1658年）搬来此处定居。[1]
2014年，本村入选省级扶贫开发重点村（第四批）。[2]

村中气候温和湿润，草木繁盛，森林覆盖率较高。[2]
