地名由来[edit]
村子原名「鲍溪潭」，因鲍姓居住而得名；后因溪水末端的深潭形似瓢，改称「匏溪潭」，再简作「溪潭」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，本村属政和里西门十二都；清代至民国则隶属玉壶乡的溪潭保。1952年成立溪潭乡，1959年改称大队，1970年归大安公社，1984年设村。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子位于大安乡北部。东侧邻炭山村和坑底乡的小东村，南侧挨着官田场村，西侧与伏际村接壤。[2]
