地理环境[edit]
村庄东侧与伏际村相邻，西侧接大熟村，南面与菜坑村毗邻，北面与浙江庆元县的青田、坝头两村交界。村距县城约10公里，距乡政府6公里，寿庆二级公路穿村而过。[2]
土地面积一说为12.6平方千米（博雅地名网），一说为16967.1亩（百度百科），两说并存。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期，项、叶、吴、胡、连等姓先后迁入定居，至今已有400多年。[3]
新中国成立前，村中巡检坑自然村曾出过蔡氏三省巡检；全村旧时有举人2人、秀才13人。[3]
经济[edit]
统计时点为2022年7月，村中有527户、2138人，65岁以上者248人。[1]
巡检坑自然村经造福搬迁整体迁入本村；村中设有孝老食堂，2022年启用。蜂产业是村内的特色产业。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有天湖寺、龙井瀑布，并建有现代产业园。[2]
