龟洋村位于清源镇东北部，村子海拔761米，与镇政府所在的清源村相距5公里，离县城10公里。全村共七个自然村，除龟洋外，其余为西溪仔、外洋、下屠仔、牛山岭、龟洋岔与百合垅。村名来自村前的一片水田与田尾一座形似乌龟的山。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
土改时此地隶属第五区南阳区的龟岭乡。1961年改归鳌阳区安章小公社，设立龟洋大队；1984年撤社建乡；1990年分设为行政村，当时辖6个自然村。2017年9月起，改为清源镇龟洋村委会。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
西溪仔自然村保存着一座清代奶娘宫，另有一座木廊桥。廊桥长约21.6米，宽4.5米，桥面铺有木板，平梁由11根大杉木架设。桥西一端紧靠一座两层的茶堂，桥北数百米另有清代庙宇，内设戏台，是演戏和集会的场所。[2]
村中五条山涧在廊桥南面汇合，穿过桥下，流入麻竹坪水库。[2]
经济[edit]
村中山地面积广，茶叶多为绿茶，水果包括水蜜桃、杨梅、柿子与梨，还产黄独、西瓜和花生。上世纪90年代初，村里掀起茶果蔬种植的热潮。[2]
人口[edit]
