余山岗村位于清源镇偏北约4公里处的山腰上，坐北朝南，海拔820米，村辖余山岗、黄连坑两个自然村。村名取意“剩下的山岗”：先来的人家已占据周边地势，此处是剩下的山腰。1990年，该村才分设为行政村。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
据称姓陈的先人在清康熙年间自浙江迁来此地，至今已传到第十代。[3]
土改后的1950年11月，此地划入第五区南阳区的龟岭乡。1961年改归鳌阳区安章小公社，并设余山岗大队。1965年撤区并社时，它并入岱阳公社。1984年撤社建乡，1990年余山岗与黄连坑分设为行政村。2017年9月起改属清源镇。[3]
地理环境[edit]
博雅地名网称，全村地域面积9平方千米，耕地约322.95亩，山林870亩，另有茶园250亩，盛产水稻和茶叶。[2]
