胡家墩村位于清源镇西南部，别名魏山，背靠西山顶，面对白岩山，斜滩溪绕村而过。村下辖符家垱、下楼、何坑三个自然村，为革命老区村。博雅地名网称它为符家垱村，县政府行政区划资料写作胡家墩村。[1][2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
清雍正八年（1730年），胡姓从庆元荷地东山迁居此地，后来吴姓从岱阳头迁入。相传在吴、胡两姓来此之前，已有一位符姓农民在这里搭山楼种香菇，地名由此而来。[2]
这里先是隶属第二区斜滩区的竹坪乡，之后归入鳌阳区竹坪小公社。1960年代中期改属岱阳公社，成为符家垱大队；1981年的清源公社时期仍称符家垱大队。1984年改乡，大队取消，改设村民委员会。2017年9月，随清源镇设立，改称清源镇符家垱村民委员会。[2][3]
地理环境[edit]
全村面积约2.2平方千米。海拔429米，山坡自西北向东南下落。境内乡道符阳线穿村而过。[2]
