阳尾村位于清源镇东南部，地处车岭之巅、西山顶脚下，海拔847米，距县城10公里，944县道穿境而过。全村为一个主村加洋边、小车岭、王眉山、百丈村（已搬迁）四个自然村，主村以张姓为主。2021年11月，阳尾村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
村名旧作双凤洋。山形像凤，村落又在岱阳的末端，当地话称末端为“尾”，遂改称阳尾。[1]
张姓始祖在明朝时由安章迁居翠竹源（今坪岩坑头），后转迁阳尾。博雅地名网在两处分别称迁来已有约600年和700多年，两说并存，今一并记下。[1][3]
最初此地属第二区（斜滩区）的阳尾乡。之后，1959年设阳尾大队，隶属鳌阳公社；1961年时它划入鳌阳区的岱阳小公社。到1965年，随撤区并社，划入岱阳公社，仍设阳尾大队；1980年成为清源公社的阳尾大队。1984年改乡，2017年9月设清源镇阳尾村委会。[3]
2020年12月，阳尾村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1]
地理环境[edit]
这里属亚热带季风性气候，年平均气温15.3℃，海拔847米。全村面积5.693平方千米，其中水田780亩，茶园1054亩，森林6933亩。[1]
人口[edit]
博雅地名网所载全村488户、1675人，常驻人口451人，均未注年份。[2]

主村以张姓为主。洋边一带住着李、叶、陈、吴、胡、范等多个姓氏的人家，小车岭以叶姓为主，王眉山以吴、张两姓为主。[2]
