天香村位于凤阳镇南部，与福安市晓阳镇接壤，距晓阳镇政府约3千米，距凤阳镇政府约6.5千米，海拔658米。全村辖1个自然村、2个村民小组。2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

传说村中原有一株牡丹，花开时香气四散，俗称“天香”。清乾隆五十一年（1786年），一位中举后出任山西岳阳县知县的人在此购田建庄园，祖宅地基上长出许多牡丹，因“国色天香”之意，遂以天香为村名。[1]

天香始祖为金琦的第六子、第七子，二人定居于此。至今已繁衍九世，200多年。[2]

1953年，寿宁县天香铸锅生产组宣告成立，产品为农耕用具和厨房配件，铸造业一度是村中的主要收入。[1]

1991年，本村从官田洋村析出，独立设为行政村。2015年随凤阳乡改镇。[2]

村中水田182亩、茶园328亩，粮食作物有水稻、甘薯，经济作物有茶叶、葡萄、生姜。[1]
