福后村位于凤阳镇中部，行政村驻地在福后自然村，海拔638米，距镇政府约2千米。全村辖5个自然村、11个村民小组。2021年11月，本村被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子旧称长洋店后村，明代因村前有一处小店铺而称店后。清代因“后”与“厚”同音改称福厚，民国时期写作福后，沿用至今。[1]

陈氏十一世祖陈锦迁居福厚定居，至今约570年，已繁衍十九世。[2]

1952年，本村划入第七区，称福后乡。此后又随东星公社、凤阳公社的体制变动，1984年撤社建乡后，成为凤阳乡下辖的福后村委会。2015年随凤阳乡改设为镇。[2][3]

经济[edit]

粮食作物以稻谷和甘薯为主，经济作物有茶叶、马铃薯和葡萄，林地7860亩。[1]
