龙头坑村位于福建省宁德市寿宁县平溪镇西北部，距镇区约7公里，平均海拔670米。村子北面连接下党乡上党村，西侧邻南溪村，东侧与屏峰村相接，南侧挨着溪底村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村尾有龙井，村庄坐落在井上方的坑岸，因此名为龙头坑。“文化大革命”时期曾改称红卫村，1980年地名普查后恢复原名。[5]

历史沿革[edit]

吴姓始祖于清代自浙江庆元县举水迁来。[4]

新中国成立前，村属平溪乡；1950年归第三区（平溪区）。1984年撤社建乡后，村地划入原村委会，1989年才分立为龙头坑村委会；2013年底乡改为镇，村委会名称延续。[4]

二十世纪三十年代，叶秀蕃、范浚、范式人、范义生等闽东革命先驱在这里建立根据地、设立交通站，并组建南区游击队。解放战争时期，闽浙赣游击队领导人在此组建闽东北游击队，村民为游击队传递情报、送信送粮，也有村民参加战斗并牺牲。[3]

国民党对该地区实施“围剿”，1948年4月大岗自然村被焚毁。新中国成立后，村被定为老区基点村，4人被评为烈士。[3]

经济[edit]

村内以茶叶、锥栗为主要产业，并积极推进粮食种植。村财收入在2021年为15.06万元。[3]

文化[edit]

村中设有一处370平方米的红色主题公园，内有革命老区纪念室。[3]
